Midnight Start: Begin your summit attempt in darkness with headlamps. The most challenging section is reaching Gilman's Point (5,681m) on the crater rim. From there, continue to Uhuru Peak - the highest point in Africa!

Summit Success: Experience an incredible sunrise from the Roof of Africa. After celebrating your achievement and taking photos, begin the long descent back to Horombo Huts via Kibo Camp.

Climbing Kilimanjaro is a real challenge due to altitude, rate of ascent, and varying temperatures. With proper preparation and the right mindset, reaching the summit is absolutely achievable for healthy, fit individuals.

Take Your Time

Don't hike too fast - allow your body time to adapt and acclimatize. "Pole pole" (slowly slowly) is the key to success on Kilimanjaro.
